Congratulations to our Epping in bloom winners

Since the beginning of May the Epping in bloom team have encouraged local residents to enter our two competitions.Plant a funky shoe garden and grow the tallest sunflower.The team gave out 100's of free sunflower seed packs that were funded by the Epping town council at local events.

We had a fair number of entries and are now pleased to announce our winner Susie Evans.

 

Her sunflower grew to a massive height of 10.24ft.Congratulations

Congratulations to the winner of the Funky shoe garden competition which was won 

by Sonny Bazzoni

 

He sent in a wonderful selection of creative funky shoe gardens

Both of our winners have been invited to our Epping in bloom presentation evening to collect a trophy at Epping hall on Monday 14th September.

Epping in bloom visit today to Halstead in bloom

Today some of the Epping in bloom team had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful award winning town of Halstead.We was amazed to see how much the Halstead in bloom team have achieved over the past 15 years.

We received such a wonderful warm welcome from Halstead in bloom.After refreshments we was taken on a tour of the town to see the many beautiful floral displays.We was very impressed by the displays and also by the amount of support the team receive from local businesses, the council and societies.Many of the beds are sponsored.The Halstead in bloom team have inspired us in so many ways today.We shall look forward to bringing forward some of the creative ideas we have seen to Epping in 2016

Only 13 days to grow!

We have been receiving some amazing entries from local Epping residents for our Epping in bloom tallest sunflower competition.Closing date for photo entries which need to include measurements have to be received by 31st August 2015.The winner will be invited along to our Epping in bloom presentation evening on Monday 14th September 6.00pm to collect their trophy.

We are also looking forward to receiving photo's of any old shoes that have been planted for our funky shoe garden competition too.

A wonderful inspiring evening with the Essex boys & girls

On Tuesday 4th August some of the Epping in bloom team spent another great inspiring evening with the Essex boys and girls at the Frenford center Ilford.

The young adults shared many inspiring idea's for Epping in bloom future fundraising and garden designs for the M & S site in Epping.Some of the young adults showed a keen interest to help with preparing site's as many live locally.After the group shared their idea's with us they put together a fabulous presentation to share with the other groups that was present.

 

We would like to thanks the Essex boys and girls and all the staff for supporting us and sharing such inspiring ideas.
